Terms of Service

Last updated: August 4, 2026

01Acceptance of terms

By creating a TeamHours account, installing the service, or otherwise accessing the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you use TeamHours on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to the organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

02Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@teamhours.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. Accounts that are created for fraudulent purposes, or that impersonate a person or organization, may be suspended or terminated without notice.

03Subscriptions & billing

TeamHours is offered on a subscription basis. Plans, pricing, and included features are described on our pricing page and may change over time; we will give you at least 30 days notice before any price increase for a plan you are on.

  • Billing. Charges are billed in advance, monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Payment terms are net on the invoice date for manually invoiced accounts.
  • Seat changes. Adding members mid-cycle incurs a prorated charge; removing members takes effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Free trial. Trials convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then. We remind you before conversion.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from workspace settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period, after which the workspace is archived and then deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
  • Refunds. If you cancel within 14 days of a first paid subscription, we will refund the full amount. Subsequent periods are non-refundable except where required by law.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to use TeamHours to:

  • Store or transmit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content, or content that violates any third-party rights.
  • Attempt to access, probe, or interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or other customers' data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to TeamHours without a separate reseller agreement.
  • Use the service to conduct time fraud — for example, inflating recorded hours for a client — where you are the one submitting the entries.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.

We may suspend access for violations of this section while we investigate, and terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations.

05Your data & content

You retain all rights to the data and content you enter into TeamHours, including time entries, project data, and client information. We claim no ownership over it and use it only as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you record and for ensuring you have the right to submit it — including any client data subject to your own agreements. We provide export tools so your data is never locked in.

06Intellectual property

TeamHours, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by TeamHours or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service during your subscription, solely for your internal business purposes.

Feedback you send us about the service may be used freely by us to improve the product; you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable license to such feedback.

07Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we maintain backups and monitoring, you are responsible for maintaining your own records of hours and invoices. Reports generated by TeamHours are informational; verify entries before submitting them to clients or regulators.

08Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeamHours's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or interruption of business — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

09Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You can close your account from workspace settings or by contacting support@teamhours.org. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these Terms, if your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activity, or if required by law — giving you notice and a chance to export your data where feasible.

Sections that by their nature survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property — continue to apply.

10Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms restricts consumer rights you may have under the mandatory law of your place of residence.

We may update these Terms; we will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
